Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026 · applies to the GeekTalk2 app (iPhone, iPad) and the geektalk.pl website
1. In short
GeekTalk2 does not collect, send or sell any of your data. The app has no user accounts, no ads, no analytics and no internet connections. Everything you type is processed only on your device.
2. Who is responsible
GeekTalk2 is developed and published by webbit, which also owns geektalk.pl. Privacy contact: appdev@webbit.dev. Questions about using the app: Support.
3. Text you type
Text you type or paste into the app is used only for conversion (e.g. into Morse code or a fancy font) and is processed locally. It never reaches any server – ours or anyone else's.
4. History and settings
The app may store a history of recent conversions (up to 50 entries) and settings such as favorite converters or the chosen alphabet. This data is kept only on your device. You can turn history off or clear it at any time in the app (clock icon). Cipher keys (e.g. for Vigenère) are never saved.
If you use iPhone backups (iCloud or a computer), app data may be included in them – according to your settings and Apple's policies.
5. GeekTalk keyboard
The GeekTalk keyboard works without “Full Access”. This means iOS does not allow it to connect to the internet or share data with other apps. The keyboard reads the text before the cursor or the selected text only when you tap “Convert”, in order to convert it. It does not store what you type.
6. Share extension
When you share text to GeekTalk2 from another app, it is processed locally only to convert it and is not sent anywhere.
7. Photos, flashlight, vibration
The app asks for permission to add images to your photo library only when you choose to save a result as an image. It never reads your photos. The flashlight, sound and vibration are used only to play Morse code when you ask for it.
8. Siri and Shortcuts
If you use GeekTalk2 actions in Siri or the Shortcuts app, the text is converted locally by the app. Voice requests are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.
9. The geektalk.pl website
The website is static and uses no cookies, analytics or tracking tools. In your browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) we keep only your chosen language and whether the start-up animation has been shown – this never leaves your device. The converter demo runs entirely in your browser.
The site loads the VT323 font from Google Fonts, so your IP address may be shared with Google. Like any web server, the server hosting this site may keep technical logs (e.g. IP address, time of visit) solely to keep the site running and secure.
10. Children
Since we collect no data at all, we collect no data from children either.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In practice we store none of your data, and anything saved in the app can be removed by clearing the history or deleting the app.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
